Introducing KLAP

Intro
KLAP was born from a realisation made over a decade spent inside the engine rooms of high-growth tech companies.
Throughout our careers as operators, we watched too many brilliant startups falter—not because of a lack of vision, but because of the friction between strategy and execution. We saw founders struggling to translate high-level goals into daily operations. We saw teams burnt out by inefficient workflows. We saw great products fail to reach their market because the GTM engine wasn't built for scale.
So we built KLAP to be the operational partner we wish we’d had. We don't just advise; we build. We don't just audit; we fix. We strive to be the bridge that turns ambitious roadmaps into reality.
What We Do
We draw on our cumulated experience working within 25+ US and European startups where we occupied critical Operational, Go-To-Market, RevOps and Product roles, to offer a cohesive value proposition intended to break down startups’ barriers to growth:
We align your data, processes, and tech stack to turn chaotic sales motions into a predictable revenue engine.
We eliminate operational drag by replacing manual bottlenecks with seamless, automated workflows.
We build custom tools, dashboards, and portals to bridge the specific gaps that your off-the-shelf software can't fill, or which your tech team can’t fulfill.
We cut through the hype to implement practical AI solutions that immediately increase your team's velocity and output.
Agencies, Hiring, and the "Third Path”
When a startup hits operational friction—whether it's a messy CRM, a stalled GTM strategy, or a team that’s scaling too fast for its processes—founders usually think they are faced with a binary choice: Hire an Agency or Hire In-House.
Both options come with hidden pitfalls that can kill your momentum.
The Agency Trap: Misaligned Incentives
Traditional agencies are businesses burdened by high fixed costs: their employees, their offices and so on. Their survival depends on "utilisation"—keeping their staff billable.
They are economically incentivised to sell complexity and long-term retainers, whereas you need simplicity and for your issues to be solved yesterday. If they build a lean, automated system that runs itself, they invoice themselves out of a job.
You are often sold by a Senior Partner but serviced by a Junior Associate who is learning on your dime. You don’t get the best person for the job; you get the person who is available right now.
You trade agility for handcuffs. Because systems are tailored for their billing model rather than your autonomy, you lose the ability to move fast. Simple changes become entire projects, and your internal operations become a pay-to-play gatekeeper system.
The In-House Illusion: The Economics of "Fixed Costs"
The knee-jerk reaction to "we need help" is "let's open a role." But for bridging strategy and execution, hiring is often the most expensive route.
It takes ~2 months to hire and another 3 months to ramp up. You are paying for a full quarter of "learning" before you get a quarter of "earning." 1/3 of new hires quit within the first 6 months. (Source: HBR / bambooHR)
You might need a senior expert to build your GTM engine, but you only need a manager to run it. Hiring senior talent full-time locks you into a high salary long after the heavy lifting is done.
You add rigid headcount to solve fluid problems, and in doing so increase your burn rate and restrict your ability to pivot. If your strategy changes in six months, you are left with a specialised role that no longer fits, and a painful HR problem to solve.
The Operators We Wish We’d Had
KLAP offers start-ups a third path. We are a collective of highly experienced former tech employees turned freelancers.
This distinction is our superpower. We aren't career consultants or junior freelancers theorising about how startups work; we are operators who have actually run high-growths tech businesses backed by some of the world’s top VC firms. We have sat in your chairs. We have scaled the operations, fixed the broken funnels, and managed the chaotic product launches.
How We Differ
- We don't have have a "bench": You work with seniors, period.
- We don't need "ramp time": We plug into your culture and start executing immediately.
- We don't hoard knowledge: We build the systems, train your team, and hand over the keys when you’re ready.
How We Partner With You
We engage where you need us most, offering three distinct modes of collaboration:
We look under the hood to diagnose the friction in your ops, tech stack, or team structure, and produce a detailed report of our findings along with clear, actionable recommendations. No strings attached.
We embed with your team to do the heavy lifting. We build the workflows, scrub the data, and drive the campaigns. We’ll upskill your teams where appropriate.
For founders who need a sparring partner, we provide high-level guidance to ensure your roadmap stays grounded in operational reality.
The gap between strategy and execution is where companies die. We are here to make sure you survive the cross.
